Prefix & Suffix Lines
Paste text and add a custom prefix, a custom suffix, or both to every line. This is useful for wrapping lines in quotes, adding bullet points or list markers, prepending SQL values with 'INSERT INTO', appending semicolons to code, or any other bulk line decoration.
Both the prefix and suffix fields are optional — leave either blank to skip it. The tool processes every line, including blank ones, so the result has the same number of lines as the input.
Everything runs in your browser — your text is never sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions
Can I add quotes around each line?▼
Yes — set the prefix to a double quote (") and the suffix to a double quote (") to wrap every line in quotes. Use single quotes, backticks, or any other characters you need.
What happens to blank lines?▼
Blank lines get the prefix and suffix added too — so a blank line with prefix 'x' and suffix 'y' becomes 'xy'. If you want to skip blank lines, remove them first with the Remove Blank Lines tool.
Can I use this to create SQL value lists?▼
Yes — paste your values one per line, set the prefix to "('" and the suffix to "')," and you get a list of SQL value tuples. You'll need to manually fix the trailing comma on the last line.
