What we build
The Paper Room is a suite of 243+ free, browser-based tools for everyday document and data tasks — PDF merging and splitting, image conversion and editing, spreadsheet manipulation, developer utilities, business calculators, and more. No desktop software to install, no file-size limits, no watermarks on output.
Privacy first
The vast majority of our tools process your files entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. Your documents never leave your device — there is no upload, no server-side storage, no analytics on file contents. You can verify this yourself by checking the network tab while using any client-side tool. The few tools that require server-side processing (AI-powered features) send only the minimum data needed and discard it immediately after generating a result.
MCP integration
Every tool on The Paper Room is also available as an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, so AI assistants like Claude, ChatGPT, and others can call them programmatically. This means you can ask your AI assistant to merge a PDF, convert an image, or run a calculation — and it will use The Paper Room under the hood, with the same privacy guarantees.
