The Paper Room

Collage Maker

Upload 2 to 9 images and arrange them into a clean grid collage. The tool automatically calculates the grid dimensions based on how many images you provide, or you can manually choose 2 or 3 columns. Adjust the gap between images and the background color to match your aesthetic.

Each image is center-cropped to fill its grid cell evenly, so images of different sizes and aspect ratios combine into a uniform, polished layout. This is useful for creating before/after comparisons, product showcase grids, social media collages, or mood boards.

The composition runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Nothing is uploaded to a server, and the result downloads as a single PNG image.

Frequently asked questions

How are images arranged in the grid?

Images are placed left to right, top to bottom, in a grid with your chosen number of columns. The last row may have fewer images if the total doesn't divide evenly. Each cell is the same size, and images are center-cropped to fill their cell.

What if my images are different sizes?

Each image is independently scaled and center-cropped to fill its grid cell. This means tall images lose the top and bottom edges, and wide images lose the left and right edges. The result is a uniform grid regardless of input aspect ratios.

What's the maximum number of images?

You can include up to 9 images in a single collage. For larger collections, consider creating multiple collages or using a dedicated gallery layout tool.

Can I change the order of images?

Images are arranged in the order they're selected. To change the order, reset and re-select the images in the desired sequence.
