Trim Audio
Upload an audio file and specify a start time and end time to extract just the portion you need. The tool uses ffmpeg's stream-copy mode, which means it doesn't re-encode the audio — the trim is fast and preserves the original quality exactly.
Times can be entered in HH:MM:SS format (e.g. 00:01:30 for one minute thirty seconds). This is useful for cutting intros, extracting a specific section, trimming silence from the beginning or end, or pulling a clip from a longer recording.
Everything runs in your browser using ffmpeg.wasm — your audio is never uploaded to a server.

Frequently asked questions
What time format should I use?▼
Use HH:MM:SS format (e.g. 00:01:30 for 1 minute 30 seconds). You can also use fractional seconds (e.g. 00:01:30.500). The start time defaults to the beginning and the end time should be set to where you want the clip to stop.
Does trimming re-encode the audio?▼
No. The tool uses stream-copy mode (-c copy), which copies the audio data without re-encoding. This is fast and preserves the original quality. The actual cut point may be slightly off from the exact time because it can only cut at frame boundaries.
What audio formats are supported?▼
MP3, WAV, AAC, OGG, M4A, and FLAC files are accepted. The output preserves the original format and codec.
